Hi, I’m Shannon Lee Ann Miller—cleaning business strategist, educator, podcast host, and founder of Klean Freaks University, an education platform built specifically for residential cleaning business owners.
After losing my jewelry store during the economic downturn, I took a job with a national cleaning company simply to stay afloat and remain in the small town I loved. What started as a temporary solution quickly became something much bigger. Working inside the industry, I saw firsthand how many cleaning companies struggled with pricing, systems, leadership, and long-term growth—and I realized there was a massive need for better business education built specifically for residential cleaning owners.
Over the years, I’ve built and operated successful residential cleaning companies in Arizona — including the Tidy Clean brand — while helping thousands of cleaning business owners across the country build more profitable, sustainable companies. In 2017, I launched Klean Freaks University to give owners real-world tools, training, and operational systems designed specifically for the residential cleaning industry.
Today, Klean Freaks University provides courses, coaching, and operational resources covering pricing, hiring, systems, leadership, scaling, move-out operations, team training, and profitability.
My philosophy is simple:

I believe cleaning business owners deserve more than survival. They deserve businesses that create freedom, stability, opportunity, and long-term wealth—without burnout.
Through coaching, digital education, speaking, and the Cleaning Business Life Podcast, I teach owners how to transition from overwhelmed cleaner to confident operator by building businesses that can scale beyond them.

My Story
When I was a little girl, my Grandma had a rule: everything had to be “clean” before you could either wear it or play with it! You can imagine how frustrating it was to find something meant for dry cleaning or a gentle wash cycle coming out of the dryer perfectly sized for my Barbie.
I spent a lot of time at my grandmother’s house, helping her clean and do chores. You could say I learned the art of tidying from her. Every Saturday, without fail, she would clean the house and even wash the dog, Teddy. I loved that dog.
Fast forward to when I was around 37—that’s when I started my first cleaning company. It was just me, myself, and I.
I loved cleaning, the money, being my own boss, and the satisfaction of seeing a house in perfect order and sparkling. I loved knowing I was helping others feel better about their homes. I built that company to the seven-figure mark and sold it in 2019.
But I wasn’t done with the cleaning industry. I started a Maid Referral Service—a different kind of cleaning company with no employees. I call it prescotttidyclean.com. We match cleaners with clients, offering a service that’s better than a traditional cleaning company any day of the week!
