My Story
When I was a little girl, my Grandma had a rule: everything had to be “clean” before you could either wear it or play with it! You can imagine how frustrating it was to find something meant for dry cleaning or a gentle wash cycle coming out of the dryer perfectly sized for my Barbie.
I spent a lot of time at my grandmother’s house, helping her clean and do chores. You could say I learned the art of tidying from her. Every Saturday, without fail, she would clean the house and even wash the dog, Teddy. I loved that dog.
Fast forward to when I was around 37—that’s when I started my first cleaning company. It was just me, myself, and I.
I loved cleaning, the money, being my own boss, and the satisfaction of seeing a house in perfect order and sparkling. I loved knowing I was helping others feel better about their homes. I built that company to the seven-figure mark and sold it in 2019.
But I wasn’t done with the cleaning industry. I started a Maid Referral Service—a different kind of cleaning company with no employees. I call it Maid-Broker.com. We match cleaners with clients, offering a service that’s better than a traditional cleaning company any day of the week!
